Easter holidays homework project:

Year 5 Easter homework – due Wednesday 18th April

To start off our new topic, ‘Who were the home front heroes of WWII?’ next term, we would like you to do some research about how your family were involved in the war. If there is no one suitable in your family, you could ask a family friend.

Questions you could ask:

  • What was your role/job during WWII? What did this involve?

  • What other jobs/roles did people that you knew have?

  • Did you experience evacuation? What are your memories of it?

  • Did you experience rationing? What are your memories of it?

  • How did you feel when the war began? What was daily life like?

If you find photographs or other objects which are relevant to your research, feel free to bring them in!

Please present your research as either a poster or scrapbook – no PowerPoints.
