We were extremely lucky today to have reindeers visit the school! The reindeer farmers taught us lots of interesting information about these beautiful animals. We had the opportunity to feed and stroke them too!

Chestnut class are taught by Miss Frost. Mrs Edwards is the class TA during the mornings, and Mrs Sinfield teaches the class on Wednesday afternoons.

Our topic this half term is 'What is it like to live in Spain?' This has a geography focus, with many other cross-curricular links including English, art, history, music and of course languages!

***English mini homework - we are going to be starting a project about a Spanish city/area. Please can you decide which city you would like to research so that we are ready to start next week. Here are some ideas, you might like to have a little look on the internet to see which you are interested in!*** Valencia, Murcia, Seville, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Granada, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Castille and Leon, Guadalajara, Alicante

Homework:

  • Weekly maths homework set Fridays, due in Wednesdays
  • Either worksheet in blue folder or on Mathletics (link to website below)
  • Spellings given out on Mondays and sent home as a word search
  • Spelling test on Fridays
  • Mini topic projects will be set from time to time

 

PE

PE will be on Mondays and Thursdays (one Real PE, one games).

Children will need full PE kit in school at all times.
