KS1 WORLD BOOK DAY
On Thursday 7th March we took part in World Book Day and children came into school dressed as their favourite character from a book. They also brought a favourite book to share with someone else during the day. A few Junior School children joined us along with some mums and governors, all dressed up, to share their favourite books or authors with us. We all had such a fabulous day.
There were two quizzes: One where the children had to identify staff reading their favourite book - a photo was taken of individual staff members holding their book in front of their faces. For the second quiz, a number of 'first lines' from books were written down and the children had to identify which books the sentences came from.
