Summer 2025

Welcome back to the Summer term! The final stretch before the end of the year, it is a jam-packed, full of fun and learning term!

CONCEPTS: Rule of Law, Democracy, Friendship

This term our topic is 'Our Island' as we focus on the UK, the countries and cities that make it up and the geographical features that we have in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In English, we start with looking at the story 'The Queens Handbag' as our stimulus, focusing around some key landmarks in the UK. Science learning will be focused around the seasonal changes we can see moving into the Summer season and looking at plants and their basic structure and needs. In our creative subjects; we will be focusing on sculpture and 3D landscapes in Art; making fruit smoothies in our DT lessons; and looking at songs about friendship in Music. We also have RE, PSHE, Computing and two PE lessons a week.  So much to look forward to!
