Science

Our science curriculum aims to harness children’s natural curiosity, nurture their confidence, equip them with the skills and knowledge to investigate the world around them and empower them to make sense of our world and believe they can change it for the better. At Robert Piggott Schools, wherever possible, Science links to topic work or other areas of the curriculum.

We immerse the children in the 'here and now' of the ever-evolving scientific world with opportunities to study current scientists making breakthroughs and participate in initiatives such as British Science Week to ignite children's enthusiasm within science and explore their future career prospects.

Lessons are planned collaboratively across the schools to ensure there is a balance of learning key facts, knowledge and technical language, as well as investigative skills developed through "hands on" experiences.
