History: Crime & Punishment
Week 5: The Stuarts to 1800
We have now moved on to the Stuarts and Georgians (1603 – 1837). Crimes have changed and punishments have developed.
- Watch the teaching video on the Video Resource Centre (it is based around the PowerPoint and will be available by Monday lunchtime) then complete the worksheet
- Go through the PowerPoint independently or
- Do both!
When you get to the Dick Turpin section of the PowerPoint watch the Horrible Histories Dick Turpin song (there is a link on the slide).
There is a worksheet. You can either print out the worksheet and complete it, or use the questions to write your own impressions about crime and punishment in the Stuart and Georgian eras.
Next week: the Victorians.
