CHILDREN'S CHALLENGE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the students at Robert Piggott CE Junior School to participate in a series of inter-school distance walking events organised by a non-profit organisation - The Children’s Challenge.
Currently we are unable to enjoy the usual exciting sporting events we compete in at school so here is a fun alternative you can choose to participate in. This would be a great way to use your hour of daily exercise. Families taking part should walk independently of each other and adhere to the Government guidelines on social distancing.
Should you wish to participate, our first challenge commences on Monday 4th May – a duathlon (running and cycling) from London to Cairo, which is a total distance of 3,509km!!
Robert Piggott will be competing alongside a number of other primary schools including Crazies Hill. Our families who were joining the Children's Challenge Exmoor Expedition have been kindly trialling a walk from Land’s End to John O’Groat’s this week – they did incredibly well!
It would be great to see as many families as possible taking part from Robert Piggott CE Junior - we look forward to watching you travel from London to Cairo. Good luck!
