WELCOME TO THE YR5 & YR6 HOME LEARNING PAGE
It's the last half term of the year! We are so excited about having the Year 6's back in school from Wednesday and have been busy preparing for their return. But we haven't forgotten the fabulous Year 5's and any Year 6's not coming back.
We will all be doing the same work whether at school or at home. So if you are working at home, we'd still like to know how you're getting on. Please share your best piece of work with your teacher each week - email it to Mrs Edwards at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will make sure we get it.
We will update our class pages regularly, so please check them out!
If you are working at home, remember to just do your best, do not worry about getting everything completed.
All we ask is that you try to keep learning
Take care and stay safe.
Mrs Pontet, Mrs Tawse & Mr McMillan
The week beginning 1st June is when we are having the Year 6's back in school. We have planned lessons which are suitable for both school and home learning. So on Wednesday 3rd June, we will share our new English planning, as well as our science and history plans too.
In the meantime, there are some English and maths activities to do on Monday and Tuesday to keep you going.
The children in school will be doing maths and English every morning and then another lesson in the afternoon. We would love it if those working at home did the same
In half term week all tasks are optional. Do whichever you like.
Remember to do creative and active things everyday too
Bonus (optional) VE day activity!
Create a Union Jack Flag.
This could be using pens, pencils or paints or any other materials you like. Maybe chalk on the pavement, in cake form, using natural materials in the garden (it doesn't necessarily have to be red, white and blue), collage (using paper, fabric etc), textiles or anything else you like.
Please send us a photo of your flag for your class page.
