  • RPI CHRISTMAS TREE CEREMONY

    Fri 06 Dec 2019

The Infant School held their annual Christmas Tree Ceremony on Friday 6th December. The children spent the morning creating decorations and excitement was rising as we all gathered to sing carols and place our shining stars, snowflakes and Santas on the tree.

We were joined by our PTA Class Reps and were treated to a poem by two children from Woodpecker Class before we descended on the tree!

I'm sure you'll agree that it certainly looks festive. It is all ready now for the gifts we will bring which will be donated to children through the Salvation Army.

  • RPI CHRISTINGLE SERVICE

    Wed 04 Dec 2019

The Christmas season truly begins at the Infant School when we all walk to St Mary's Church in the village to celebrate Christingle.  Parents, staff and children join together to sing, listen to readings and light the Christingles to reflect on the history of Christingle and the true meaning of Christmas.

Thank you to Mrs Rosie Creedon who helped us so much with the music for the service and Rev Hugh Barne for adding his reflections and leading us in prayer.

  • RPJ YR5/YR6 CAROL SERVICE

    Tue 03 Dec 2019

On Tuesday 3rd December Years 5 and 6 led a traditional carol service at St. Mary’s Church in Wargrave.  The service included many traditional readings and carols, and an alternative wording to the '12 Days of Christmas'.  Refreshments were served afterwards, the proceeds of which were sent to 'Launchpad', a charity for the homeless in Reading.

  • RPJ CAROLS AT THE MOUNT

    Tue 03 Dec 2019

Some of the Year 5 and 6 children entertained local residents at Elizabeth Court and The Mount.  They sang a selection of Carols and Christmas songs to bring Christmas cheer to their celebrations, and then chatted and mingled with them.  Children and residents alike loved sharing the Christmas spirit with each other.
